Okay, maybe she's not actually a sorcerer. But, her writing does feel like magic!
Originally from the Bay Area, Zoe Whitaker went on to Boston to earn her B.F.A. in Comedic Arts and Creative Writing at Emerson College. After receiving multiple EVVY Award nominations for her writing, and getting accepted into Emerson's prestigious screenwriting program in Greece, Zoe has returned to the West Coast to pursue a writing career in Los Angeles, CA. Alongside her experiences as an entertainment industry professional, Zoe can be found writing TV pilots, short stories, and all things magical.
But, that's not all! After performing improv for ten years, she became a founding member of The New Experiment, a long form improv team that's performed at The Yard Theater, Skiptown Playhouse, The Broadwater, Westside Comedy Theater, UCB Annex, and SF SketchFest. Zoe also has co-created a stand up comedy show, Tight Five Wine at Haley's Wines, which she produces and performs in every month.
No matter what she's doing, Zoe is passionate about capturing audiences with her fantastical and lighthearted comedic tone, before tugging at their heartstrings with relatable themes of friendship, love, and self discovery. ​
